Tech innovators Collide in Las Vegas

[:en]Tech start-ups from 89 countries have converged on Las Vegas for a two day event with ideas focused on bringing creators, investors, and innovators together. Walking around the convention floor, one sees concepts ranging from instant file-sharing to a ‘squishloc bag‘. Many of these sprouting businesses are latching on to trends we have seen throughout the year.

One trending feature that went viral during SXSW in Meerkat, quickly followed-up by Periscope, is seeing its newest partaker in Station. Seen on the floor of day one of the Collision Conference interviewing tech start-ups and guests, Station was live streaming their content across the world via their new app. Though this may feature may seem old hat, Station offers a myriad of features and functions that allow it to rise above its competition by tagging all content to a specific location and enabling users to see what is going on right around them.

With the ever-decreasing attention span of the public, authentic content is something marketers strive for. Another small start-up looks to solve that by making the art of storytelling easier and more social. Evrybit is an app which lets users create and edit a story right from their smartphone in real time – piecemealing together photos, audio video and text to create truly authentic, concise stories people want to see and share.

Tomorrow a whole new batch of aspiring tech giants will hit the floor of the World Market Center in Las Vegas to get their shot to catch the eye of the media and investors. If you missed day one, or can’t wait to see who will be there tomorrow Collision has a list of participants on their conference website.
