[:en]CYNTHIA NELSON, Sr. Director, Sony Music Entertainment has just been appointed to our Women Leaders in Internet Marketing group at the IMA.
Nelson is a seasoned executive with over 20+ years in the media and entertainment industry with responsibility for ensuring that all business processes and organizational entities are focused on a single company-wide goal, the creation and maximization of value.
After spending 10 years building the first true 360˚ model for branded entertainment in the parenting sector, Todobebe, raising $15M in private equity and then successfully selling the company to Entravision in 2013, Cynthia worked with Sony Music Entertainment US Latin teams to develop new opportunities that drive deeper integration of artists and brands to create monetizable short and long form content and IP. This initial gig resulted in a newly developed role at Sony Music Entertainment US where she is in charge of digital video sales for both VEVO and YouTube, and leverages all of the Sony properties and assets to help integrate, align and grow new brand initiatives, develop 360 “agnostic” platforms and create new revenue streams for the Sony Music Entertainment family.[:]
