Marketing conference brings Google, Microsoft to Cayman

Cayman Enterprise City has announced a conference that will bring the world’s leading digital marketing specialists and tech entrepreneurs to the Cayman Islands.

CEC’s Cayman Media Park and the Internet Marketing Association are collaborating to host IMPACT 16 Cayman on April 6-7 at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.

Keynote speakers include Joe DeMike, head of Global Advertising CX Programs at Google, Jeff Marcoux, chief marketing officer lead for Worldwide Enterprise Marketing at Microsoft, and serial tech entrepreneur, Victor Cho, CEO at Evite.

“IMPACT 16 Cayman will be a dynamic forum where digital thought-leaders converge to share innovative ideas, discuss industry trends and network. We will also showcase the many benefits of Cayman’s pro-business jurisdiction and Cayman Media Park,” said Charlie Kirkconnell, chief executive of CEC.

The conference will cover developments in virtual reality, digital marketing, predictive analytics, big data, tools for modern marketing and growth in the marketing world.

CEC and the IMA co-hosted a smaller event last spring, following which, Cayman Enterprise City said, a decision was made to host “a full-blown IMA conference” this year.

The IMA, a leading global association for Internet, digital marketers and technology leaders from 33 countries, hosted its most recent international conferences in Dublin and Singapore.

The Cayman conference will feature a mix of keynote sessions, presentations and networking social events, including a dinner on Seven Mile Beach and a luxury catamaran sailing experience. Premier Alden McLaughlin and other local government officials will welcome the assembly.

Ramesh Maharaj, partner at Walkers, Brian Esau, executive vice president of Cayman National Bank, and Nancy Kirkconnell Ewing, president and CEO of Brac Informatics Centre, will join a panel of experts examining Cayman as a jurisdiction for global business. The itinerary also incorporates a Thought Leaders’ breakfast at Luca hosted by Cayman National Bank.
