Evite®, the leading digital service for bringing people together, announced the company is celebrating its 20th birthday in 2018. Evite is inviting its 100+ million annual users to help celebrate at evite.com/birthday.

The Evite 20th Birthday page currently hosts a look-back video focused on celebrations of the last twenty years, and the page will be updated throughout 2018 with sweepstakes, video content, and customer stories.

“Evite is proud to continue to be the leader in the space we invented,” said Victor Cho, Chief Executive Officer of Evite. “The digital world has changed significantly since our founding, and Evite has evolved along with it. Evite is now the top text-based invitation site, and two-thirds of invitations are viewed on mobile devices.”

Evite was founded in 1998 by Al Lieb and Selina Tobaccowala. Having been co-founded by a woman in tech, Evite has continued its legacy of creating a female-friendly environment under Cho’s leadership. Women currently make up 59% of Evite’s total employees and 50% of its senior leadership roles, a rarity in the space.

Recent enhancements to the Evite platform include: an SMS feature to send and receive invitations via text message; a private sharing feed for photos and conversations before and after events; a donations feature which has enabled more than $5 million in charitable contributions; and a robust mobile app.
