EWL is an official partner of the United States Geological Survey (USGS) ShakeAlert™ Earthquake Early Warning Project. EWL has developed a powerful platform to deliver USGS ShakeAlerts that could give users up to 60 seconds of warning so people can drop, cover, and hold on. EWL’s systems can also trigger automated actions before strong shaking from an earthquake arrives at their location. EWL technology triggers automated responses for businesses, transportation, machinery, and more.
“We’ve been working on our cloud platform and hardware technology for over four years which allows us to warn people before shaking from an earthquake hits them,” said Chase Rief, Chief Marketing Officer of EWL. “A University of California study has shown that over 50% of the injuries caused by earthquakes can be prevented with early warning technology.
