The California Love Drop started in April of 2020 as a delivery of 300 meals to Hoag Hospital in Irvine, CA. The mission was simple: to place a smile on the faces of the frontline heroes of the pandemic. To say, THANK YOU.
We initially started with a few friends combining their efforts to provide food, treats, and beverages to our frontline workers. It quickly grew with many new friends, and corporate support movement, providing smiles to the frontline, essential workers and our local community in need. We have spent the last eleven months dropping off meals & much needed PPE to hospitals, nursing homes, testing sites, police and fire stations. We have also fed the elderly and the homeless, filled trunks with boxes of food, provided backpacks filled with school supplies, and toys for kids during the holidays!
Some over 200 Love Drops later, and over 17,300 meals served; the team is growing and still going strong! As we just finished our 200th Love Drop, we continue to look forward by staying positive, spreading good vibes, and making a difference in local communities by continuing to carry out our mission. We are honored to work with so many vibrant and generous companies, and we look forward to working with many more in the future. Without the founders, partners, and supporting droppers, California Love Drop could not have achieved its success.
We thank you all.
Jennifer Annes, Wing Lam, Wendy Ellis, Eric Morley, Charles Antis, and all our volunteers and supporters!
