In Summer 2021, Kadenwood expanded its global presence with the acquisition of UK-based Healist Advanced Naturals, an innovative CBD wellness brand, along with Social CBD, a brand committed to high-quality, pure CBD products. The company also had financial success this year through Series B funding, raising $50m in cash and media value. Kadenwood announced plans to use its funding to further accelerate scale, strategic partnerships and acquisitions. Backers for the funding include The Craftory and Arcadian Capital Management, as well as current investors. Previously, in 2020, the company raised $15m in a Series A funding round followed by the acquisition of EcoGen Biosciences, a global manufacturer and supplier of hemp-derived CBD materials and formulations.
