The Men of the Breakfast (that benefits the Women’s Philanthropy Fund) of the Orange County United Way recently hosted its second Garages of Orange County event at the Segerstrom Shelby Events Center.
The event had several original founders of M.O.B. in attendance with over 120 total leaders representing many branches of the county.
The idea for Garages of Orange County was originated by Sue Parks – CEO of Orange County United Way.
As part of taking on this exciting project – M.O.B. co-chairmen, Sinan Kanatsiz and Don Yahn, wanted to host the events at the most incredible collections in the county – thus far they have uncovered two of them.
The first Garages of Orange County event was at the immaculate estate of Bill Lyon, in Coto de Caza. He gave a tour of his multi million-dollar, rare collection of Duesenberg’s among other prized automobiles.
This time around, the group had first hand access to the Segerstrom Shelby Collection – one of the most prized collections if not the #1 in the world – with several 1 of 1’s and a combined value in the tens of millions. Attendees heard from a representative of the collection, who provided first hand insights into this one of a kind trophy museum.
