Chris Duncan is a Tariff and Customs Counsel and the former Mayor of San Clemente, California. A recognized authority on customs and international trade law, he advises Fortune 100 companies on tariff classification, trade compliance, country of origin, and enforcement matters before CBP, FDA, and federal courts.
Prior to private practice, Chris spent 16 years with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, most recently as Assistant Chief Counsel for the California, Hawaii, and Pacific Islands Regions. He also served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in San Diego, where he prosecuted transnational criminal cases involving terrorism, drug trafficking, human smuggling, and organized crime.
