Frank is the Dean of the UC Irvine Charlie Dunlop School of Biological Sciences and a Distinguished Professor of Neurobiology and Behavior. He leads the NIH-funded UCI Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and co-directs MODEL-AD, a national effort to accelerate Alzheimer’s research through next-gen disease models.
A global leader in Alzheimer’s research, Frank has published over 225 peer-reviewed papers and developed widely used models that have reached researchers in 20+ countries. He is an elected Fellow of the AAAS and the American Neurological Association, and a recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
