Macy’s South Coast Plaza opened its doors early for a private shopping event for Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Orange County and the Inland Empire to kick off the holiday season in style. As part of Macy’s multi-year partnership with BBBS, Macy’s hosted BBBS Orange County and the Inland Empire mentors and mentees (“Bigs” and “Littles”) for a private breakfast and public book reading with 2X Grammy Nominated Multi-Platinum Recording Artist, Jordin Sparks, ahead of their shopping spree. Additionally, in celebration of this event, the first 100 customers in attendance received a free children’s book
As part of Macy’s social purpose platform, Mission Every One, from November 1 through December 24, Macy’s will host a special in-store round up and online customer fundraising campaign to benefit BBBS’ mission of empowering young people through the power of mentorship to build paths for future success.
Additionally, Macy’s customers have the opportunity to shop an exclusive collection of holiday-themed products styled with original drawings by Littles in the BBBS program. Through December 31,2024, 50% of the purchase price of the BBBS-designed teddy bear and mug, created by Littles, will benefit the organization to help create life- changing mentorship experiences for young people.
