NeighborWorks Orange County to Host Forum on Accessory Dwelling Units

Join NeighborWorks Orange County (NWOC) for its Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Forum Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Garden Grove Courtyard Center in Garden Grove.

Whether you’re a homeowner, developer, or policymaker, you’ll walk away with practical knowledge about how ADUs can positively impact housing availability, sustainability, and community development.

Timothy Pawlak, Director of Education for the Casita Coalition, will now be speaking in place of Celeste Goyer. Timothy’s expertise in ADU policy and development will provide you with fresh perspectives and practical advice.

Patricia Aguilar, HUD Housing Program Officer at the Santa Ana Homeownership Center, will provide insights on the 203(k) rehab loan program, which helps homeowners finance both the purchase and rehabilitation of properties.

Additionally, you will hear from RaShawna Fahie, Manufactured Housing Program Manager at NPHS, who will share her insights on manufactured housing and the ADUgo Program.

NWOC has also confirmed added speaker, Chris Chung, AICP/Senior Planner for the City of Garden Grove. Chris will share his expertise on local planning efforts and ADU development within the community.
