Ware Malcomb Announces Corporate Leadership Promotions for Kim Arial and Bill Roberts

IRVINE, Calif. (May 20, 2025) – Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, today announced two of its Irvine-based leaders, Kim Arial and Bill Roberts, have been named Associate Principals in recognition of their individual contributions and leadership.

As Associate Principal, Building Measurement Services (BMS), Kim Arial will continue to lead the firmwide growth and expansion of Ware Malcomb’s BMS business segment. Arial joined the firm in 2018 as Studio Manager and subsequently was promoted to Director in 2021 with the mission of building a strong team to expand the firm’s BMS services across the firm’s market regions. 

Leveraging more than 20 years of business development leadership, Arial proceeded to secure numerous regional and national clients to expand these services into new markets. Her team works with landlords, asset management firms, property managers and brokers to deliver accurate floor plans with quick turnaround times.

Arial is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from University of Southern California. 

Bill Roberts joined Ware Malcomb in 2022 as the firm’s first General Counsel. As Associate Principal and General Counsel, Roberts will continue oversight of the firm’s legal functions, while providing legal, risk, and compliance counsel for a growing number of offices across the Americas.

Roberts has more than two decades of industry experience serving as in-house legal counsel within the design, infrastructure, environmental services and engineering consulting sectors. Roberts earned his J.D. from Pepperdine University, an MBA from the University of Southern California, and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from the University of California, Irvine. Additionally, he earned a certificate in International Economics from The London School of Economics.
 
Roberts currently serves on the Advisory Council of the Risk Management Program at the University of Southern California and is a licensed attorney in the state of California.
