Long Beach, CA – [April 2, 2025] – Tangram Interiors, in collaboration with architecture firm RDC and Studio Other, recently completed a one-of-a-kind project for Swing Set Productions, a renowned video production company with an impressive client roster that includes Maserati and Electronic Arts.
As Swing Set relocated to its new headquarters in Long Beach, architectural firm RDC and the client enlisted Tangram and Studio Other to create a functional, inviting, and on-brand workspace that would reflect its creative identity and provide comfort and style for its clients during working sessions.
The new space includes:
- A mix of workstations
- Private offices
- Reception
- Recording booths
- Edit bays
- A VIP lounge
- Breakroom
- Wellness room
The goal was to create an atmosphere that supports Swing Set’s collaborative and dynamic work culture as much as it creates a comfortable client experience.
Tangram provided a variety of ancillary furniture pieces from multiple manufacturers, all chosen for their lush aesthetics and emphasis on comfort. Artwork throughout the space adds a creative and lively touch, complementing the carefully selected furniture to create an inspiring environment.
Studio Other’s design team took on the task of crafting custom reception desk and furniture for editing bays.. Notably, the design of five bespoke desks in the edit bays was a focal point of the project. The desks were made with multi-ply surfaces featuring a soft eased edge for ergonomic comfort, and their curved rolled steel end panels and vintage amp-inspired storage cabinets seamlessly integrated into the overall design.
Each desk was carefully crafted to accommodate the high-tech equipment required for finishing, editing, and mixing, with each desk reflecting the creative atmosphere of the space. The reception desk, another custom creation by Studio Other, features a striking wave-shaped steel front, further reinforcing the thematic flow of the workspace.
Given Swing Set’s creative nature, the team played an active role in the selection of each piece, making sure the final result was both functional and reflective of their vision.
The collaboration between Tangram, Studio Other, RDC and Swing Set resulted in a space that beautifully blends aesthetics and functionality, supporting the dynamic needs of the video production industry.
