Traysar Launches Terminus; Partners with Armada to Bring Sovereign AI Infrastructure Underground

Terminus

Strategic partnership combines Traysar’s autonomous subterra platforms with Armada’s modular data  centers, the Armada Platform, and the Sovereign AI Grid to protect critical compute in an increasingly contested world.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — September 23, 2026 — Traysar, the world’s first dedicated subterra defense technology company, today announced from the stage of the Sovereign AI Summit at Impact 250 the launch of Terminus, a truck-mounted boring platform designed to rapidly position and protect critical infrastructure beneath the Earth’s surface.

As part of the launch, Traysar is partnering with Armada, the leader in sovereign AI, to bring sovereign AI  infrastructure underground, creating a new class of hardened, distributed compute engineered for environments where traditional facilities are vulnerable, disconnected, or impossible to deploy.

The partnership brings together Traysar’s expertise in autonomous underground systems and  infrastructure survivability with Armada’s infrastructure layer for sovereign AI: modular data centers that  can be delivered and operational in months, the Armada Platform that keeps every deployment under the customer’s control, and the Sovereign AI Grid that connects deployments into a resilient distributed system. The companies intend to explore integrated underground solutions supporting secure AI processing, command and control, communications, and other mission-critical workloads for the United States and its allies.

“The next generation of critical infrastructure cannot remain exposed,” said Yadin Soffer, Co-founder and  CEO of Traysar. “Terminus transforms the Earth’s crust into a protective layer for the systems America depends on most. By combining Traysar’s ability to create and operate in underground environments with Armada’s ability to deploy powerful AI infrastructure virtually anywhere, we are building a new standard  for resilient compute—concealed, hardened, and ready to operate when surface infrastructure cannot.”

Modern conflict has made the surface increasingly transparent and vulnerable. Persistent surveillance, autonomous weapons, precision strike, and electronic warfare are placing conventional data centers and communications infrastructure at growing risk. Terminus is being developed to address that vulnerability by positioning distributed infrastructure underground, close to operational demand and protected by the Earth itself.

Armada’s infrastructure is built for exactly these conditions. Its modular data centers are manufactured on a production line rather than constructed on site and can be placed wherever power is available. The Armada Platform runs entirely on-site, without reliance on any external cloud, and can operate fully air gapped where the mission requires it. The Sovereign AI Grid connects deployments into a distributed  system so critical AI workloads never depend on a single site.

Armada’s infrastructure has already supported operations in demanding and communications-constrained  settings, including enabling the U.S. Navy to deploy edge computing during UNITAS, the largest  multinational maritime exercise. More recently in the wake of attacks on brick-and-mortar data centers in the Middle East, a Galleon was deployed to a military organization and live within six days. This enabled a sovereign AI deployment supporting real-time data fusion, satellite imagery analysis, and  sensor processing.

“The future of AI infrastructure is distributed, sovereign, and resilient,” said Dan Wright, Co-founder and  CEO of Armada. “The Sovereign AI Grid is built so that no critical workload depends on a single site. Terminus adds a new dimension. Together we can put a fully sovereign, air-gapped AI node beneath the surface, close to the mission it supports, and keep it running when everything above ground cannot.”

Terminus represents an expansion of the subterra domain beyond maneuver and strike to include  survivability. Traysar defines this mission as Subterra Survivability: using the underground to safeguard critical assets, preserve operational continuity, and ensure freedom of action under attack. “The company already develops autonomous systems for underground penetration, strike, maneuver, monitoring and intelligence.

Potential applications for the combined Traysar–Armada capability include:

  • Hardened AI infrastructure for contested environments
  • Resilient command, control, and communications
  • Protected data processing where surface facilities are at risk
  • Underground nodes for distributed sovereign AI networks
  • Continuity infrastructure for government and defense operations
  • Rapidly deployable underground mission systems

“The cloud changed where the world stores information. Edge computing changed where the world  processes it. Terminus deepens the territory where critical compute can survive,” Soffer added. “The  future of infrastructure is not only distributed, it is underground.”

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening America’s industrial base and ensuring  that the United States and its allies can deploy trusted AI infrastructure wherever missions, data, and  energy converge, including beneath the battlefield. The announcement was made at the Sovereign AI Summit at Impact 250, a national convening in Washington, D.C. marking America’s 250th anniversary and focused on the next generation of American infrastructure, manufacturing, and national security.
